The application window for internships with us in 2024 opens at 9.00am SGT on 18 December 2023 and closes on 31 January 2024.

Internships are a great opportunity for you to get to know us and see first-hand what the life of a practising lawyer is like.  Our programme is designed to take you on a tour of the firm and provide a platform to participate in the culture that defines us Rajah & Tann.  Interns can expect to work alongside our lawyers as they attend court proceedings and meetings, be involved in transactions and assist in tasks such as research and the preparation of legal documents.

Our programme is also a means for us to get to know each other and understand your perspectives and aspirations. If you are considering a permanent position with us, our lawyers are always on the lookout for aspirants who would make solid additions to our teams.

We hope to achieve a lot during your time with us and each placement will run for a period of four weeks.  For 2024, our internship programmes will be conducted from:

• 13 May to 7 June 2024
• 10 June to 5 July 2024
• 8 July to 2 August 2024
• 5 August to 30 August 2024

 
In addition to the above 4-week structured internship programmes, we also accept applications for internships outside of these periods on an ad hoc basis.

Law undergraduate and postgraduate interns will be entitled to receive an honorarium during their period of internship with us.

The practice of law is multi-faceted. That is why our firm has several teams, each with their own specialised skills and unique personalities. You may apply for a placement with any of the following practice groups:

Corporate Banking & Finance Capital Markets Competition & Antitrust and Trade Corporate Commercial (includes Integrated Regulatory) Corporate Real Estate Corporate Shipping & Finance Financial Institutions Funds and Investment Management Mergers & Acquisitions Projects, Infrastructure, Energy & Resources Tax & Private Client Technology, Media & Telecommunications

We hope to meet as many applicants as we can. However, as spaces are limited, we will prioritise students who are in their second year and above, and who are able to commit to the full four-week programme.

1. Application Documents comprising: 

• A 1-page cover letter setting out your (i) preferred area(s) of practice, and (ii) how you intend to contribute to Rajah & Tann Asia.
• A CV of no more than 3 pages, setting out your (i) contact details, (ii) academic record and achievements, (iii) extra-curricular activities and achievements, and (iv) prior work experience.
• A copy of your law school transcripts if they are available. If they are not available, please include your grades and subjects taken in your CV.
